10 Valentine's Day Date Ideas

Valentine's Day is not cancelled! So I'm here to share 10 creative date ideas that are perfect for OG couples, new relationships, those casually dating, and long distance relationships. I'm giving you affordable, fun, and sexy! I also snuck in extravagant options because I'm over the top. #oops

1. Virtual Cooking Session

To do a virtual cooking session, first find a recipe that you can lead your date through. Once that's done, send your date a cute email with an e-card asking them to join you. Let them know you'll have groceries delivered to their home. Be sure to confirm a time for the grocery delivery. You can order groceries from Whole Foods Market with a Prime Membership or Instacart. Do a quick Google search because there are other delivery services available.

If you live close enough, you could drop the groceries off. If you go this route, take the extra step in put the groceries in a cute gift bag or picnic basket with a card on top and a bouquet of flowers adjacent.

Who this option is for: Long Distance Relationships, New Relationships, Casual Dating (if you don't feel comfy going to a person's home)

2. Restaurant Pick Up

You could also place an order for pick up at your favorite restaurant. This would be nice for a romantic dinner for two. If you're long distance, place the order and tell your date where to go pick up. You could order from Uber Eats or Door Dash, but fancier restaurants tend to not be available options. Please don't order from McDonalds (unless you KNOW that your date rolls like that!).

If you're long distance, set up a cute virtual situation and eat dinner together.

3. Chef it Up

Hire a chef to prepare your V-Day meal. If You can't find an available chef (bookings go fast), see if any of the chefs provide meal preparation packages for V-Day.

4. Reserve a Private Igloo / Cabin

If you live in colder location, a state with limited indoor dining, and/or want to socially distance, look up restaurants with private igloos or cabins. Please note, these topically come with a minimum or mandatory spending limit and a timed reservation. Also, the availability can be limited and reservations tend to go fast.

5. Backyard Picnic

Set up a romantic dinner in the backyard and project a movie on the house or play music. You could hang nice Christmas-esque lights, spread out real or faux candles. For eats, you could cook a meal together, place an order for pick up/delivery, or eat a prepped meal from a chef.

7. In Person / Virtual Sip-and-Paint

Host an in person or virtual sip-and-paint. I'm sure you could find an art template online. Then, order the necessary supplies online.

Also, Michaels sales paint-by-number kits that can be used in lieu of finding a template, etc.

1o. Reserve a Hotel Conference Room

This one mat seem far-fetched, but if you live an area with limited dining options due to Covid, reserve a conference room. I seriously doubt anyone is using them! Plus, the hotel might have a restaurant that can whip up a meal.

This may seem obvious, but food, bevvies, and flowers are must for all 10 options! You can order the flowers to be delivered and order from a company like Drizzly if you’re in need of a beverage delivery service.

Remember, you don't have to spend a lot of money to make the day special

I told y'all, I got you covered!!
