One Room Challenge: Bedroom Makeover

Welcome to the One Room Challenge! For those that don't know about the ORC, it's an 8-week event that challenges participants to totally transform a space and share the entire process. They provide support, inspiration, and truly celebrate creativity. This is my first time being part of the process as a guest participant. I'm super excited to be part of this amazing community of designers, DIY enthusiasts, and other guest participants.

By the way...I'm Santeka Grigley and the content creator behind Santekagrigle.com, a lifestyle and travel brand inspiring people to live their lives in bright colors and bold strokes! I share all things travel, DIY projects, design, fun, flavor, and life experiences.

The Space

Now let's get to the reason why you're here! For the ORC, I will transform my bedroom, which has not been a priority since purchasing the home. The space has fallen down the list, as my home is a true fixer upper and other areas were more pressing. Here are some before images.

My goal is to transform this space into serene space offering some elements represented in Transitional Style. I will zhuzh is up by incorporating textural fabrics, darker hues, and an appearance or two of farmhouse and boho style.

Next week, I will share the daring and bold newly painted room along with my mood board. I can't wait to reach the finish line and hope you will come along for the ride!
